PF Indiana Jones

We are a family that strongly believes in the mare being the prominent factor in the selection of our horses.  Indy’s mother Miss Sugar Time Leo (aka “Suzie” as she was affectionately known) was born in Kennebeck, SD to Harold and Mary Krueger.  Suzie was a mare with determination, conformation, smarts, and most of all heart…she loved her sports!

As horse people we all have or will eventually experience that one “Special” horse…Suzie was that one for our family.  You could think what you wanted her to do and she would read your mind or feel you.  She competed with the best at the time…Nikki Steffes-Hanson and Ruby, Jordon Peterson and Bozo, Lainee Shearer-Sampson and Cooter to name just a few!  She competed at state and national levels in Little Britches, 4-H, and High School Rodeo, winning numerous rodeos and go rounds!

When it came time to breed Suzie the only improvements we were looking for was a bit more speed and a brand name. The stallion we decided on was First Down Devil, owned by Webb Ranches, because he carried the genes of First Down Dash and Special Effort…two of the greatest Quarter Horse Racing Stallions ever!  PF Indiana Jones (aka Indy) was the only surviving colt out of our dear Suzie but boy is he a spitting image of her!  He has her color, white markings or chrome as we call it, conformation, disposition, and heart! We started Indy on barrels, but like many rodeo families with married daughters and grandchildren, hauling a stallion was difficult. Indy is still being ridden and hauled to select barrel races. Our goal with Indy is to make outstanding horses for rodeo families, and with God’s grace raise some that can go on to be winners on the pro level.
